We have a tupperware dish stuffed full of them

More honest scraps.

3. I love coloring in the coloring books with G-tot. And I have a favorite crayon color right now—yellow-green. G-tot and I color almost every day and when I grab a crayon I tend to lean towards the yellow-green. I don't know if it is the same shade that it has always been, but lately I can't get enough of it. It's great for planets, foliage, dinosaurs—you name it. I'm also a crayon snob. I don't like just any old crayon. It has to be Crayola. Generic crayons are just too waxy.

I love coloring. It was the one thing I always contributed 100% when I was babysitting (rather than letting kids win games or tossing a ball so lightly so they can catch it, ect.) But coloring, I would make those picture look like Disney cells ready for filming. I was a coloring genius. Maybe I should get some books and do it when I am stressed. Coloring always soothed me.

Coloring has to be the most relaxing thing in the world... I loved it...now with homework, spelling, math, reading... we don't color as often. Need to start doing that with Tink again.

I agree. Generic crayons are nasty.
I color every Christmas. When I was a kid, I had this giant coloring & activity book that was holiday-themed and only came out with the Christmas decorations. I'd go through pages of it every night, year after year, until I somehow completed the last page at some point in my teens.

Not too many years ago I mentioned how much I enjoyed that. My mom promptly gifted all us girls (& our husbands) with new Christmas coloring & activity books and crayons. I haul mine out with the decorations every year.

I love coloring with Aidan. I never used any other crayon besides Crayola. Aidan loves crayons and he carries them around just for kicks. And if you take them away if he has to eat or bathe, he says, "No, crayons Mama" because he doesn't want to give them up. ha!
