Yesterday—even after being out plowing for 10 hours—JQ wanted to make a snowman for Gideon.
So I bundled the two of us up and we went outside to watch JQ.
It was cold and he was exhausted from being at work since 4 a.m. so we opted for a small snowman.
We don't keep a stock of coal in the house so we made eyes out of mushrooms. Add a mini-carrot nose and we've got ourselves a pint-sized, bug-eyed triangle snowman.
Gideon was less than thrilled to be sitting in the snow. So, the three of us went inside and admired our work through the front window. He loved it.
When we got up this morning and went to the window this is what we saw. The splattered snow parts and small shoe print was a dead giveaway that this was no accident. Savages.
I could not get over it, so I did what any good parent it would do. I went outside in my pajamas and snow boots and fixed our little triangle man the best I could.
