delapitated

That's the way I feel about the look of this blog. Left behind and forgotten about. My sidebar is nowhere near a reflection of what I actually read—thanks to Google Reader. I'm still reading Shades, Nobody, and Dutchy but you wouldn't know it if you clicked on their links. They would just send you to an outdated URL. It's all current in the Reader so why bother maintaining something I don't use. I haven't changed the look of the blog since April of '06. It's getting stagnant. I blame the Blogger Dashboard & Firefox for that. I just click on the bookmark and I'm there—no need to look actually access my little home on the internet.

Things are going to change around here. [I originally just wrote "gonna" instead of "going to". I was compelled to make it proper English. I'm such a dork.] Anyway, be on the lookout for a real blogroll, a new masthead, and perhaps a new avatar. Oh...and comments. I must get back into the habit of commenting. That was always one of my favorite parts about blogging. The interaction.

I have a hard time typing slang like that and leaving it there, too. I always edit it. Unless I'm typing it on purpose, to make some kind of humorous point.

I still like this look. It's ok with me if you take your time renovating it.

shades—I'm getting tired of the masthead. Maybe not so much pink next time.

How about a nice banner of...me? You can't go wrong with that.

The classics never go out of style.

Yeah, I like it when people update the look of their blogs. I'm just too lazy to do it on my own.

mr. fab—Classic indeed.

egan—I don't know how many people actually click through these days.

That ain't no big deal.

tf—You feel the same way about your place I see.

Babyjewels did mine for me. I don't have the talent or the imagination to come up with anything new. Plus, I don't blog as much anymore and now that my site is locked it's not like I'm getting any new readers so whatevs.

Your blog looks great. Mine is ugly. I hired a guy to make me a new template ages ago, but he never came through. Good thing the agreement was to pay him after the design was done.

Maybe you can start by commenting on my site once in a while.

Can't wait for the new look. Now if you will excuse me, I MUST go comment on your other post about roasted chick peas. :)

I get bored easy, and I am not happy with the look at my new place, but I haven't had time to change it.

As for the blog roll, I am wondering if I should even keep one.

I sort of feel the same way. I recently went through a major style change (from the Burning Monks to my current look). I was scared because I'm no web designer, but I do know a little HTML, so that helped. I think it looks OK. I still haven't updated my Haiku-A-Day blog because I really like the way that one turned out.

I can't wait!!!

And Fab: how is it that everything always ends up being about you? I mean, WTF? A banner of you? Gah!

;-)

mel—So do I!

mad ethel—I love your look. Especially your avatar. So seductive. ;) You're right though—does it matter anymore since nobody new can find you?

nobody—So, you got what you paid for then?

jq—Not exactly what I meant but okay...comment whore.

naynay—Roasted Chickpea Lovers Unite!

lynda—I was thinking about burying my blogroll on a "links" page somewhere. We shall see. Hopefully I can export my Reader list and make my end a lot easier.

tf—Everytime I saw your burning monk avatar I thought it looked like a sheep. I knew it wasn't but that was always my first thought.

dutchy—Really. Does Fab think everyone cares about him? That's one big ego I'd have to fit into my masthead.

Reader makes things so much easier, doesn't it?

I keep thinking if I should change my blog look. I have had the same one for a long time, but I like it so I do not know if I should change.

Hey, do you still read me? :)
