My kids never took them (their choice, I would have paid money for my 2nd child to take one), so we just called the pacifiers. Not very original I guess.
Oh, no. This reminds me of my Mom's stories of how attached I was to my "ninny." She insists I used that thing until I was almost 4. Whatever. I think she's just messing with me. :)

For Sparky, it was a binky.
For everyone else in my family before Sparky, it was always called a nu-nu.
A butt-plug. Maybe that's TMI...
I call it a pacifier. Calem calls it his baa baa. He calls his blanket his bah bah. It is very confusing.
I hear I used to call it a "buck." I have to take their word for it because I can't remember. Nowadays it's just plain ol' "pacifier"...
Pacifier- unless you're my mother, and then it's a "passie".
Bink

My nephew called his Sam. Seriously. No idea why.
Binkie, or bink.
But, where exactly does that come from? How do you go from pacifier to "binkie?" I don't even know how I got there. It's like an acid trip.
