full-time employee

I have to go back to work in 2 weeks. The thought of being away from Gideon for so many hours each week devastates me.

I held him in my arms last night after dinner and wept. I imagine I'll be doing a lot of that until I adjust.

I imagine most moms go through the same thing. Good luck!

Oh, Pixie. :( This makes me so sad. Can you do part time or anything?

It sucks Hon, I know... but you will adjust and there will also be times ahead, though you might not wanna admit it, you will actually need some time working or to yourself. Be ok with that when that time comes too and don't feel guilty about either of it. It will make you all the better mother in the end!

Muah!

This is normal. It isn't fun, though. Good luck to you, and I hope you have a good caregiver for Gideon while you're at work!

DutchBitch is right. Same thing was told to me and it's true.

Also, you'd be surprised, but the older they get, the more they need you.

Hang in there!

It will be very tough to be away from the little one for so long. We're going to be there soon enough. I'm hoping to stay home with her for a month after my wife goes back to work. Good luck Pixie.

Awww, I am sorry to hear that. Who will be watching the little guy? Can you come home to see him?

Already? Any way you can take maybe a week more off? Or does your company have day care in your building so you can see him any time you want. I can imagine how hard this is going to be for you.
