he sounds southern when he says it*

I was reading a post over at Buzz Off the other day about jokes for your kids. Melissa had referenced the post in her regular blog and mentioned Pulp Fiction so I popped over there to see if it was the "Mama Tomato, Papa Tomato, and Baby Tomato joke". It was. She requested jokes that you could teach your kids in the comments and while perusing through them I found this gem:

Knock Knock.
Who's there?
I eat Mop.
I eat Mop Who?**

Mr. Pixie and I were hysterical over it and cannot stop belly laughing every time we retell it.

*The way Mr. Pixie said "mop who" the first time sounded like some very proper, old money havin', southern gentleman. That made it even funnier to me.

**"Mop Who" ends up sounding like "my poo". Nothing like a good poop joke to make you chuckle.

I'm laughing so hard there are TEARS! I just had the husband try that joke. He didn't get it, but I just about died! You're right! It does sound like a very southern "I eat mah poo"... My dad is going to love it.

ha!I always forget jokes, the only one I can think of is:

Knock knock.
Who's there?
the interrupting sheep.
the interrupting she....
BAA!

It doesn't come across too well written down...

I was totally a rockstar with this in school today- and I'm in the 11th grade.

Alex—That is awesome!

I've got another one for you: A giraffe walks into a bar and says, "Highballs are on me."

May be lost on highschoolers if they don't know that a highball is a type of drink, but trust me, the double entendre is super funny.

I told that joke all day yesterday and got only a few laughs. Stupid people, they have no sense of humor.

Oh, man, my kids think I'm the funniest person in the world. Now I get to hear that joke over and over all day.

The one I always remember from school had my name in it. My mom and I still tell it. LOL.

Knock, knock
Whose there?
Linda.
Linda who?
Linda hand with this big box.

Like I said, I got a kick out of it as a kid because it had my name in it.
