work, work, work

My summer vacation ends in just a mere 6 days. Classes resume on the 23rd and I still have the following things to do before the first day back:
  1. Adjust syllabi for 5 classes
  2. Organize lecture material for 5 classes
  3. Make any necessary changes/additions/deletions to the coursework
  4. Look over the new texts (one of which won't be in until the 22nd) for reading changes on syllabi
  5. Photocopy, photocopy, photocopy the syllabi, handouts, lab rules, etc. for all classes
  6. Prep and supply information for upcoming business training session I'm conducting in 6 weeks
  7. Get my "work" clothes together & see if the pants still fit
  8. Adjust my internal clock

What I've done so far:
Nothing...but hey I've still got 5 whole days...

Having nothing done isn't all bad. That's exactly how I operate most of the time.

at least you've got a plan!

making lists are always a way for me to feel like i'm not really procrastinating when i know deep down that is exactly what i am doing.

Nobody—If I was really worried I'd be doing something rather than nothing.

violet—I'm a queen at list making.

Mike—exactly

Fuzzy—It doesn't quite work that way when you're the instructor.

You better live it up for the next five days....too bad you can't drink now! Well, I guess it isn't such a bad thing...

Pixie:
Rubber band trick: When your pants don't button, loop a rubber band through the hole and hook it on the button. And put off wearing maternity clothes as LONG AS POSSIBLE because you're going to want to burn them after the baby is born. I promise.

School holidays are for doing nothing. That is the whole point of them! By doing something in them you are ruining their purpose in life. Keep the nothingness up for a few days more!

You can't really do anything until that new book comes in anyway...

well, it sounds like a good excuse.

Enjoy your final days of freedom.

While you might have to make copies of a lot of things, at least they are not "dittos." Remember those things; the purple blurry ink? Ahh, dittos. Or dittoes. I don't know how ya spell it.

Of course this year you may have a few more weeks off.
