Without Earl & the Office

Since last night was going to be such a bust with regards to non-cable t.v. viewing, Josh and I decided to watch a couple of movies—Saw 2 and Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind. We hadn't seen either one of these yet and I must say I really enjoyed them both. Saw 2 has quite a few of those disgusting, make your toes curl kind of moments. ESofaSM was the kind of movie that makes you both happy and sad, at the same time. Now, I'm not crazy about Jim Carrey—I don't find him to be particularly funny (more annoying than anything), but he was good in this movie. Good like he was in The Truman Show. The first 18 minutes you're like WTF?, but it all makes perfect sense the longer you watch. I would recommend both of these.

We've watched quite a few movies over the last few weeks, and of all we've seen, I'd only not recommend one—Soul Plane. That was super lame. Twenty minutes into it we turned it off. Snoop, what were you thinking?

Ooo, I love Truman Show. One of my favorite movies. It's a shame it wasn't hyped more... most people haven't seen it and don't even know what I'm talking about when I mention it. They've got that Jim Carrey stigma going on, lol.

I liked Eternal Sunshine pretty well. I'd recommend The Island. DH and I watched it a few weeks ago and I'm still thinking about it. That's my "test" as to whether something rates highly with me or not, heh... if I just forget about it, it was nothing special, but if it's on my mind several days later it must've had some intriguing bits.
