Honestly? I should get off my ass a little more often.

More bits and pieces from the honest scrap meme

2. When I first started blogging I was really into exercising. Really, into it. A few months prior, I had discovered a game called Yourself!Fitness for the PS2 and it was just what I needed to motivate me into working out on a regular basis. That was in May 2005. I worked out diligently for 7 months and felt great about it. By the end of the year I had abandoned my good habits and haven't really worked out regularly since then. Part of me really believes Wii Fit would bring back the drive that I once had. A video game worked before, why can't it work again?

We should take up a collection from bloggers to help us buy a Wii. If every body just donated twenty dollars...and Nobody donated the rest....

I tried to win you a Wii in November. A radio station was giving away five Wiis and if I had one I was going to send you one (and one to my dad, then hock the rest on eBay) Alas, I did not win. If we lived closer you could come over and use ours and we could Wii Fit together. :) We could be each others motivation, because it is now just gathering dust under my coffee table.

I keep telling myself "if I only had a Wii" or "if I only had a gym membership" but really, in my case, it's more like, "if I only had some motivation."

I did find a LOAD of free on-demand workouts on my digi-cable box while up til an ungodly hour once. Now if only I would get up off my own ass and do them, lol.

I have a Wii Fit. I bought it in September, and it's still unopened sitting in the corner of the living room laughing at my beer gut. Evil thing...

My previous comment was just enough to get me motivated. I got out of my chair and grabbed a nice cold beer!

I have never, ever seen a Wii game in my life. If I stumbled over a Wii, I would be like, "Damn Atari, getting in my way." I am so not in touch with reality I think.

JQ—I like your thinking, young man. Be sure Nobody gets the memo.

Vegas Princess—You are so awesome. Just the idea that you would have sent one to me along with your dad, is so sweet.

Cheeky Sweetie—"If I only had some motivation.". Yep, that's me in a nutshell. Good luck with those on-demands and thanks for stopping by!

Nobody—Still unopened? What? That's crazy talk. See what this post did for you—a cardio (the walk to the fridge) and strength training (12 oz curls).

Naynay—My first experience with the Wii was last week. That was only because my sister brought it with her when she was in town. I will say, it was pretty fun. Then again, so was Atari!

Sadly, I'm not kidding about the Wii Fit. I really need to open that thing up.

Nobody—Do it for all those Wii Fit-less misfits out there.

Andrew and I bought a Wii for our anniversary this year, and then I got a Wii Fit for my birthday. It is an investment worth making! We just got MarioKart with the wheel and it is so much fun. I highly recommend that you follow JQ's suggestion, start that collection and get yourself one! :)

I just joined Sparkpeople.com... I am seriously hoping that by creating an account, posting my goals and getting daily emails with motivation and ideas for recipes and exercises to try, it MIGHT make the difference. I always only give about 50% when I set out to lose weight. Not sure why I never feel like it's important enough... but the other night I had an epiphany of sorts, out of the blue, and decided I have to do something NOW, before I let the extra weight do damage to my health. Anyway, this Wii Fit thing is interesting. If that donation goes as planned and you get it, definitely let us know if it *works* or not. :)
