16 days until Christmas. It's abnormally warm in Toledo. And it won't stop raining.
I need all the help I can get. You?

You can have my weather. I laid out from 12-1 this afternoon, and when I left the gym at 6:30 this evening it was effing SLEETING and the temp is in the 30s at my parents house, but still holding at 40 at my house. I am so done with winter.
You flipped your blog look- it gave me a headache! My eyes won't stop swimming in my head!
Oy, your Christmas lights look like ours! Only half of ours were dead and Andrew had to run to CVS at 10 at night to buy new lights (and of course he came back with one set, a strand of 50 -- who buys a strand of 50??). And yet I still find decorating for Christmas to be really fun!
Shades—I don't want the sleet. If it's going to precipitate in December in NW Ohio it should be snow. That's part of the fun of living in a state that gets 4 different seasons. :)
SO…is the flipped look bad?
Christina—I like decorating too, it's the shopping and feeling like it's Christmas time I'm having trouble with this year.
The blog is flipped! Hmmm, may take some getting used to. :)
I am just so not feeling it this year. Maybe because Thanksgiving is so close. Maybe because it has been unseasonably warm. Maybe because we don't have the money to have the kind of Christmas I want. I feel your pain.
Hi Pixie: It's going to snow here in Seattle, but they've said that before. Your lights look sad sitting all rolled up like that. At least you were smart and tested the lights BEFORE putting them on the tree (we had to remove about four strings and start over). Hope your holiday spirit improves!!!!
I'd love to help you out, but it's not exactly Christmas-weather around here, either. Although it is getting chilly, so at least we are getting our version of winter, FINALLY. That helps. Anyway, if you've got the problem I do, it's that it's just coming up way too fast all the sudden. I still have more shopping to do, cards to mail out, etc... I keep thinking I have plenty of time. Joke's on me! ARGH!
Well, either way, I do hope you'll get into the spirit somehow. Maybe get some pine air freshener and huff it...? Just an idea... ;)
hey you want winter you get on i-75 and come on up we have 22 inches of snow and it was a whopping 11 out today. bagged me a deer today too! love to all dad

Wow, that makes me happy that I live in an apartment and don't have to deal with outside lights. Nowhere to put them.
My two cents: I like the flip ;)

The weather isn't helping my allergies at all. This morning it was 65 degrees here. Wha???? I hear ya, Pixie. I really do.

VP—Yep, all those reasons. JQ and I are once again not buying for each other. That's several years in a row now.
SWG—Those are actually the lights we put on the tree. And thank you for your 2¢.
Leezer—That's how they come out of the box of decorations—neatly rolled up so they're easy to handle.
Naynay—Today it's 20°. Pick a freakin' season Mother Nature!
Cruel Shoes—The joke seems to be on most of us. Problem is, the joke is not funny.
Dad—Woo-hoo on the deer! And I'll pass on the 22 inches, but 2 or 3 would be okay. :)
