go ahead and do it your way, but don't be surprised when you fail

You know what I don't understand?

How someone can be given all kinds of feedback on a project during an in-progress critique, only to show up for the final with nary a change. And when that person is called out on that fact, they say they don't care and they're going to do it their way. Which looks like crap.

Try doing that when you're on the job. I'm guessing your boss will show you the door. The door in this case is going to be your grade. I bet you aren't going to like it when you open it.

Real life is going to give them a much needed slap in the face.
