Some people like MySpace (which I still think is trashy), some are addicted to Facebook—right now I'm all into LinkedIn. I've made some new connections—a few from strangers in related fields, been contacted by a woman I worked with that I haven't spoken to in 5 years, and had my back patted with a couple of really nice recommendations by colleagues. I've also connected with several of my fellow bloggers.
If you are LinkedIn you should absolutely add me as a contact (Vegas Princess I'm looking at you—accept my damn invite already)! If you don't know my real name—believe it or not it isn't *pixie*—email me (over there in the side bar) and I'll let you know. I'd prefer a search for my name didn't lead someone directly here. If you aren't LinkedIn you should be. And then look me up. I'll be your connection.

I've been LinkedIn for several years now. I'm pretty selective about who I link with though. I generally only link to people that I know in person, or have worked with online on a semi-professional basis. Except for this one chick that I linked to... But she was especially cool.
nobody—I think I know that chick you're talking about. She is very cool. I wonder if she would LinkIn to me?
I'm not sure how that would work..
Meh. To each his own. I am on LinkedIn but it doesn't do anything for me. Sadly, I'm a 30-year-old Facebook junkie.
nobody—It would be a sight to see. :)
christina—I haven't done the Facebook thing. From what I gather it's classier than mySpace. LinkedIn is more business related for me. A professional social network rather than just for fun.
I didn't even remember I am on LinkedIn. Sorry! Do I even remember my password? If I can get in I will totally accept you. I barely have time to check blogs and Facebook. Already canceled MySpace because I hadn't been on there in about a year. Now I have this to keep up with too? :)
vegas princess—Now I feel like I strong armed you into doing it! ;)
Pixie - Oooh, MySpace is scary. But Facebook is safe. It's like the gated community of social networking sites. And you're right, I think the reason LinkedIn didn't do it for me is because it's professional and I felt like too much of a dork writing in "Mommy" for current job.
Not at all! Think of it as a friendly reminder to get my butt in gear. I need those every now and again.
I keep wanting to sign up for Facebook. So I'll have to check out Linkedln.
Sadly, I have a Myspace. But, it's not my personal page anymore it's a CHD awareness one. Feel kinda bad if I just go and delete it.
