mister blue sky

I'm really proud of my husband. He has finally decided to stop worrying about what everybody else thinks and has started to live the life he wants. It's awesome to have him focus on his happiness and life goals.

JQ is amazing and complex. He's a writer. He's a musician. He's passionate. He has a thirst for knowledge. It goes on and on. He is incredibly talented and—unfortunately—hasn't let that part of himself shine lately. Work, bills, and general day-to-day duties have gotten in the way. But no more. Big things are in the works for JQ. Change is in the air—it's palpable. And it feels so good.

He's gonna soar.

FANTASTIC! This post just makes me feel so happy in general. Not only is JQ going to live his dreamlife, but you've got to be one of the most flat-out supportive wives ever, too...and it is SO NICE to read! I love you guys. You're good people. Best of luck to all of you in this new phase of greatness!

What great fun! I wish I could still swing; thus it makes me sick.. blah!

cruel shoes—I think you just left my favorite comment ever. Thank you. I think we are good people. So are you. We love you too!

brittany—Even more difficult was taking the pictures of him while swinging with my son.

Wow. You are amazingly supportive.

Good luck to JQ! Life is short - it really is important that he does what he loves.

vered—Thank you. What he's passionate about is what made me fall in love with him. What's not to support?

shades—Swings can't help but make you smile.

maggie—Thanks. There are a bunch more at my Flickr account.

Fantastic photos, but even more wonderful words. You two will go far with each other as support!

These are my favorite kind of stories.

I only know him from blogging, but he's definitely awesome!

Right on!

But,

This is kind of vague. What's he doing, becoming a professional swing-competitor?

christina—I sure hope so.

rr—They make for a pretty good reality too.

tf—Right on indeed.

tf—JQ can elaborate on that if chooses.

This is going to come in handy as G-man grows up and wants Daddy to play things with him. Letting yourself go is a big part of playing make-bleive with your kid dressed in fairy wings and a tiara (okay, not what G-man would probably want to do but what my Daddy did for me!)

Your pictures and your post brings a smile to my face...it's scary to stop letting "life" get in the way of being happy - I wish him much success, I am trying too, and it's HARD!
