This week I took two photos that I really love. One is of my son running around at the park. The other is my husband sitting by our garage. They share similar qualities that I'm digging at the moment. Large washes of color and small areas of main subjects. It's a big change from the close-ups and intimate details I always tend to shoot. For me, even these environmental shots capture the essence of the moment. What do you think?

I think I'm inspired. These are great shots! I should be getting my brand new Canon Rebel camera any day now... I might steal your idea and try this kind of composition. :)
I think I wish I could play the guitar and look all cool just sitting ina chair.
You did GOOD!
I WISH THOSE WERE TAKEN IN MY YARD BUT THIER GREAT MISS YOU GUYS LOTS DAD
They're both really good.
I like the JQ by the garage. It would've looked even better in B/W with touches of color (maybe in the guitar.) Reminds me of a cover of an old BB king album, but he was by a train or something.
These would both make great album covers!
cruel shoes—That's the camera I want! I've had my eyes on it forever but am having a really hard time spending the money. It feels almost selfish. My film SLR is a Canon so my existing lenses will be interchangeable w/ the digital SLR. These I just shot with my point-and-shoot digital.
tim—He is very cool.
shades—Why, thank you!
dad—You're welcome in our backyard anytime.
tf—I made one for you. How about this?
christina—Thanks!
tf—Or maybe this?
Both pics kick ass.
Very retrospective, I like them. And if you swap the order it will look like G-man is running to his daddy to hear his groovey tunes. :)
These pictures are great. I especially like the one of JQ.
I like the contrasts. They are both very artistic.
And....
Catch that kid! He's getting away!
=D
Awww that looks like thé best couple of "boys" to have!
