bite the bullet

  • G-man is sick. Poor snotty little guy. He doesn't know how to blow his nose yet and if I'm not careful the snot is going to run right down his nose and into his mouth. Gross, huh?
  • JQ & I just watched Juno on Monday and if you have not seen it, you need to acquire a copy and watch it right away. The cast is fantastic. The soundtrack is fun. I laughed. I cried. I wanted to buy my own copy as soon as it ended.
  • Tomorrow is the last day of the quarter for me. I'll have to finish up my grading and then I'm off until May 12th. Yay! Ten weeks after that I'm off for a month. Double yay!

  • I'm sending Shades some of the Morning Glory seeds I harvested from our plants last year. They're what you see above. I'm excited really excited to do this for a few reasons. One, it will be the first thing I've sent to a blogger. Well, except for a thank you to Christina & Chase when they sent Gideon a set of these awesome socks. Two, I had decided months ago to pass the seeds on to interested bloggers. [sidenote: If anybody else would like a small packet worth let me know. I'll send what I can.] I think it will be cool to have other people growing plants from seeds I picked by hand. Spreading the love. Three, doing this will fulfill one of the to-dos (to-do's?) I have on my 101 in 1,001 list (more on that later). And, finally, since my personality compels me to do this, I get to make cool little labels for the packets.
  • In the comments of Monday's post, Jacob over at Think Frustrated mentioned that I should make the picture of JQ black & white with some possible color. I obliged, made the alterations, and left the links in the comments. In case you missed it, here are the other two versions. Which one do you like better?

Ooo the one with just the guitar colored, how cool!

Hope G-man gets better soon! Nothing is worse than a nose that never stops running, especially when you can't blow it. Poor little guy.

I would take some seeds but I don't wish to kill those beautiful flowers. I have such a black thumb I may kill Shades' seeds before they get to her just by writing about it here.

I'm going with Vegas Princess - the one with just the guitar colored is very cool.

Oh, poor baby. I hope he feels better soon.

What a neat idea!
The morning glories are gorgeous!

Those socks ARE awesome!

I like the first photo better.
Very nice work on all of them!

vp—You can do it! Email me your address.

brandy—Thanks.

shades—Glad you like the flowers. I'll let you know what address I send them too. I like the top photo too, the focus in on JQ instead of just the guitar.

Hi Pixie:
I've tagged you on my blog today!

I loved Juno, and the sound track for that matter.

As for G's cold, I'm sorry to say it only will get worse when they go to school. Anna has had green snot running out of her nose since January 1, which is when she went to daycare for the first time. Good news is, the more colds they get as babies, the healthier they'll be when they're older.

Those are beautiful flowers!! If you have any left, I'd love a few seeds. We're just starting to get our garden together this year (we're late. We're also not real green thumby, but we're trying). As for the picture, I think the first one is perfect. I think the wall behind JQ is enough to highlight him without the black and white bit. It's really an awesome photograph, Pixie, I think you should absolutely frame that and hang it in your house!

leezer—I vaguely recall you and Tim discussing the soundtrack's awesomeness.

christina—The original? Thanks. I'll put you on the list of seeds as well. I think I still have your address.

Just the guitar colored. It's like him touching it makes it come to life. Sigh... I wish I could play the guitar.

I like the second one.

Maybe even play around with just the blue jeans colored because they look oh so damn blue in the colored picture. They might really pop.

Still, I think both are "Good enough to frame."

I like the second picture with only the guitar colored in.

I loved Juno. It was a great movie!

I've been checking out your Flikr pictures. I managed to squeeze some time in for that. I am impressed, my dear! :)
