hold this thread as I walk away
I love the sweater that Gideon is wearing in this picture. It zips down the back starting at the hood and when you are putting it on him he looks like a little elf. That's not my favorite thing about it though. The best thing about this sweater is that it belonged to JQ when he was a baby. Twenty-nine years and still holding strong.

that's really neat. love it.
Aww, how sweet. I love sentimental things like that.
What an incredible picture, and I love the story behind it.
mel—I know. It's amazing what gets hung on to.
hillary—You know I'm going to have to keep it forever.
naynay—I have a box started with "must keeps". His first outfit, Halloween costume, tie-dyed onesie, etc. I'm a sucker for sentimentality.
vp—JQ took the picture. I think Gideon looks angelic in it. So innocent and pure.
Awesome story. Familial continuity is so important. Love that those things are important to you.
Did JQ save his old Superman Skivvies?
Great picture, and great post title.
What an adorable photo... and great story.
rr—Very much so. Family means a lot to us.
nobody—Why thank you.
fg—Couldn't you just eat him?
I love the story behind the sweater. My husband and I have things that one day I want our children to wear or have.
That's awesome that you have the box of firsts. I would do something like that too.
That is just tremendously cool. :)
I agree, that is awesome.
silicone alley—This is why I'm a pack rat.
naynay—It's hard not to keep everything.
cruel shoes—It's a good thing we don't have any dresses from when I was a baby.
shades—He is just awesome. :)
That sweater looks timeless.
We have a picture of Calem in a onsie my brother wore. I don't think Calem wore it much, as it didn't have snaps by the legs. LOL

Lynda—I know. Could you imagine if it had a butterfly collar? We still would put it on him...we'd just laugh about it.
