this could turn out really bad

Why is it that I have that weird feeling in the pit of my stomach? The one where it sort of feels like you have to take a poop. It's not from the hamburgers and fries we ate last night for dinner. I don't think it's a parasite of any sort. Oh, that's right, it's because today is November first and a couple of weeks ago I signed myself up for NaBloPoMo.

Don't know what NaBloPoMo is? It's a collective group of bloggers whose only requirement is that they post everyday in November. Why put that kind of demand and pressure on myself? Besides the prizes? I'm doing it to see if I have the fortitude and as a way to get myself back into blogging on a regular basis. Now that we are on some sort of a schedule with Gideon I feel like I can handle posting everyday—even if it has to be at 5 am or 11 pm. It can't be that hard can it? I'm not doing NaNoWriMo like JQ—I'm not crazy and certainly couldn't write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days.

Using this announcement of sorts as my first post feels like a copout, but we only have one internet connection in our house and with JQ now blogging, I didn't get a chance to mention it last night before I went to bed. This should be an interesting month for us and will very likely drive us to getting a wireless connection before November 30.

Good luck! You really should get wireless, that way you can sit side-by-side on the couch, each with your own laptop, and blog. No need to speak, just communicate via your blogs. How great is that?

Blogging is a horrible addiction for me. And Mrs Nobody. We spend hours five feet apart and never saying a word on an almost nightly basis.

I'm with you in spirit, baby.

Yeah, I already get teased for the frequency of my blogging, and it isn't even everyday. So there's no way I'm gonna risk NaBloPoMo. But really, best of luck to you! God speed, little blogger.

nobody—Mrs. Nobody blogs? ;)

jq—And I with you. NoWri on my love, NoWri on.

cruel shoes—It helps when your spouse "gets" blogging and does it too.

Wireless internet. It works ok. ;)

I promise that I'll celebrate by going with NaNoRePo, which means I'll read all your posts, or that I'll repo your blog. One of the two.

amanda—Good luck with the novel. My husband (JQ up there in the comments) is an amazing writer but I still think it's crazy that he's going to write a novel in 30 days.

I love that you say "could" turn out bad.

egan—At least I'm optimistic right? Or is it masochistic?

You're optimistic at this point. I will check back in next week to see how the optimism is treating you. I like your final sentence in this post. Submit that tagline to NaNoMoSchmo please.

egan—Thanks, I thought it was clever.

I didn't catch that Repo Man reference until you explained it to me, but now I get it. Yeah, awesome!
