growing up weeks 32 & 33

Dear Gideon,
These last two weeks have been remarkable for you. You're going through this really enormous growth spurt right now. It is quite fascinating to watch. To be able to see the transformation before my eyes is nothing short of powerful. Just in these past 9 days you've really changed. Now you sit up by yourself. You can stand up easily with the aid of a piece of furniture. Cupboards and cabinets? No problem—you can open them.

32 weeks—November 4th
I swear it looks like you are posing for this.

Just this morning you and I were sitting on the floor playing with your hippo puppet and your three Little People®. You were cracking up at me and had your mouth wide open. That's when I saw it. A little white line on the top part of your lower gums. Holy crap you've got a tooth poking through. Wow.

33 weeks—November 11th
just waking up from morning nap

You have an adorable new method of greeting me after you wake up from your nap. I'll hear you rustling around and when I walk into your room to get you I'll find you in one of two positions: standing up looking over the edge of your crib or sitting in the corner staring out between the bars waiting patiently for me. It's so damn cute I could just scoop you up and eat you right on the spot. But I won't. This time.

Love,
Momma

I still can't get over how bright red his hair is, I love it!

Break out the rings, it's teething time!

What? This is becoming a mommy blog?

I am just teasing. He is so cute. I love the little looks on his face. He probably is posing for you. Don't you think he should be expecting that weekly picture by now? LOL
