the lovers, the dreamers, and me

Did I mention that Josh and I saw Frank Caliendo live earlier this summer? You know who he is right? He was on Mad TV, does a hilarious impression of John Madden, and is on the Sunday pregame show on FOX. Yeah, so we got to see him—for free. A friend of ours acquired four tickets and invited us along for what would be our first official night out without Gideon. Nothing beats a free night of entertainment and our seats were great. First row in the loge. The kind of seats where the waiter comes to you.

The show was great. Josh had never seen a comic live before and I had only been to a small comedy club once back in high school. Frank was super funny and at one point laid down on the stage and sang The Rainbow Connection in the various Muppet voices.

He is hilarious! Did you see him on Last Comic Standing tonight?

I love stand-up comedy. My wife, however, doesn't. I think I need to take her to a show to change her mind.

Sounds like a good time! I have never been to a comedy club.

fantastagirl—Maybe you and the Mr. can catch a show on your trip next month.

chuck—I did see him on LCS! I'm so glad that Mr. Hickory, NC won. I really liked him, Gerry Dee, and Matt Kirshan. When it got down to Jon and Lavell, I was rooting for JR.

tf—Just make sure the show you take her to has a funny well-known comic. You don't want to take her to some crappy place and have her hate it even more.

lynda—This show was at a big theatre, our local comedy club is small.
