reading rainbow

I was in the nursery yesterday reading a book to the Wee One. The book was Guess How Much I Love You, a cute little board book about 2 rabbits—a parent and a child—sharing how much they love each other. Anyhow, the rabbits are Little Nutbrown Hare and Big Nutbrown Hare. I was reading the story and unintentionally out of my mouth came, "Big Brown Nuthare". Which had me hysterical laughing at myself. Why would they name two characters something that can be so easily transposed into an inappropriate name? Now, everytime I read this to the baby I'm going to have to be super conscious to not call the rabbits "brown nut hairs".

OMG! That is GREAT! I just laughed until I hyperventillated! I seriously cannot breathe! and I keep making this squeaky noise! I bet you slip and say that for the duration of Wee One's childhood now! Admit it, it's stuck in your brain and it will be one of those things you read wrong henceforth and forever.

Click Clack Moo: Cows That Can Type.

A true classic, and no big brown nuthairs present.

Oh, I hope I don't make that mistake when Calem is older. I love that book. I bought it for him too. They also have it in paper, btw.

I found a Beatrice Potter board book of Peter Rabbit today! I was so excited. At the dollar spot at Target.

And big brown nuthair said to little brown nuthair... Dang! Look what you did!!

This was one of the first books I read to Kenslee and had the same thing happen. The Dick and Jane books are flat out porn.

Classic.

I think I may have to get that book for Aidan. My sister, who has a sick mind like me, will love it.

It is 5 minutes after writing my comment. I read this post outloud to Nestor and I started laughing out of control. I couldn't stop laughing so he had to finish reading it himself. He got a kick out of it but not as much as me. I am still trying to catch my breath. HA! :)

First, I'm glad you re-found me.

Second, I love this book, and can't wait to read it to Feebo. With the porn. I mean, hey, kid's gotta learn sometime, right?
