OMG. Why must Grey's Anatomy be so intense tonight. I've cringed, I've cried, and I've still got twenty minutes to go—and no conclusion until next week.
My sister (who doesn't care for the stuff, regardless) was hyper-sensitive to gore, violence, etc... when she was pregnant. Does that affect you?
(oh, but let it be known that while she had to leave the room whenever my mom was watching the soaps or whenever my dad was watching a war movie, she was quite ok watching all of the Lord of the Rings fight scenes...)
Jen—The gore and violence doesn't bother me—I am a bit sensitive with the heart-wrenching stuff though. Wait until you see it tonight, then come back and let me know what you thought.
I must say, that was a crappy ending. I don't expect fairy tales & roses, but sheesh. The one positive? At least it's a new one next week. That's the kind of season-ender that shows usually stick us with.
And I bawled my eyes out, and I'm not pregnant. I can only imagine what I would have been like if I were.
Julie—Sometimes I wonder if me crying over tv has anything to do with me being pregnant. It might not—despite my dry wit, I am a sensitive soul—but it's a good excuse for now (which I won't be able to use much longer).
Well her name is in the title, so I'm sure there'll be some miraculous recovery (although I can't stand that actress and would love to see her gone). Susan and I love this show and we've been nonstop watchers since January of '06. Hell, I'm just glad George found the little boy. And what was up with Lizzie telling George he made a mistake marrying Callie? I personally think she's the hottest chick on the show!
This was a three parter so we all knew each week would leave us hanging. And after how long she was in the water and that she was blue (BLUE!) when Derek brought her out of the water, she was bound to die. I think it was really cool that Dylan and Denny were there. Two men who died in such dramatic ways and effected Meredith's life, of course they would be there. It will be interesting to see what they have to say to her before she is yanked back to life. Although they have done shocking things before...maybe she will die.
Next week's scenes look great! Cristina demanding they try again so powerful and Derek looking helpless is almost too much to bear.
I started sobbing when Alex had to put the photos of the dead on the board and then the guy recognized his dead preganant wife. Sob fest!! I don't think I stopped crying from then on.
And I believe we all deal with crisis in our own way and Izzie is very blunt and to the point and when she is trying to hold it together she is even more so. Thus her comment to George, which while mistimed was totally necessary and correct.

What the heck? I have to wait again? GEESH... and I agree - they let it end like that?
I just looked outside and don't see any ferry burning. I think the fire isn't real. You can let your guard down.

I don't watch the show, but I would guess...disappointing?
thanks egan - ok folks, you can all relax and go home now. Nothing to see here!
;)
Still don't see a fire on the waterfront from today's perch.

Can't wait for next week!!
I think Denny and "Bomb Boy" will tell her it's not her time to "step into the light" yet and send her back to the living.
But what the heck do I know?
