blue-eyed baby

This is not what I'd call a great picture of me—it was late, I'm sportin' the tired eyes, my nose looks like it has suffered the pregnancy spread, my one eyebrow needs some serious taming, and the pigtails in my hair are doing nothing for my look. However, there are two things I love about this shot. One is how giant my glasses look in the foreground. I was taking them off just as Josh was snapping the photo and he caught them in the shot just before I got them out of the frame. The other thing I love about this shot is how well it shows the color of our eyes (click on the pic for a much bigger and better view of the color). Do you think the Wee One will end up with our blues?

FYI: Both of our parents have either green eyes (the Moms) or blue eyes (the Dads). So, I doubt we'll have a brown eyed baby unless there is some really recessive gene hanging around.

Y'all sure do look mighty purty! ;) I'm sure the baby will have the blue eyes too!

My guess is the baby will have blue eyes too!

My eyes are blue, Mr. Incredible's are brown... our kids? BLUE, and BLUER.

My dad has blue eyes, my mom has brown eyes. Their six kids had green, green, brown, brown, brown and blue. You just never know what will happen.

I think they baby will have blue eyes. And he will be adorable! :0

You and Josh are socute together!

You are reading that Jenny McCarthy book too huh? My sister loved her books while she was pregnant. She wants me to read them too when I have kids. Someday..... :)

you probably won't know that for a long time. Kenslee's coming up on 9 months now and her eys haven't picked a color yet. Sometimes they're grey, sometimes they're brown.

I don't feel like writing out the Punnett square for that one. But I think, although blue is recessive, it definitely trumps green as the stronger gene and that since both of you are blue-eyed, your boy will be, too...

Ha ha, not so fast, blue eyes. That Pixie IS you. I just messed up the link.

That's a really cute picture. You both look so content and happy. :) The wee one will no doubt have that same look someday.
