Lots of snow last night. Expecting another 1 – 2 inches this afternoon. Tons of school closings scrolling across the bottom of the tv. Do you think mine could be one of them?
Nope. I get to drive across town in this crap and teach. Tonight we have our last childbirth class and we get to drive across town again for that. Great timing Mother Nature.

On the bright side, at least you aren't in labor and having to drive it.
It seems as though every OB visit I'm scheduled for we get some freakish snow storm or ice and I practically go in to labor stressing out about getting there. It's so fun, yes?

We had snow and school closures in Seattle a few weeks ago. The problem is, the Seattle School District is as big as the African continent, so when it snows way up in North Seattle, the schools down where I live - in West Seattle where it never snows because its on the water - always close. So I've used just about all my vacation on school closure days to take care of my daughter. My point? Snow sucks all around I guess. On the bright side, you could be really pregnant in the heat, which is worse.
Preggers in snow is fun, preggers in heat - not fun.
But maybe that was because I lived one block away from the hospital?
I hate driving in the snow also. Be careful mama! :)
The snow almost killed me yesterday. I had to leave at 5:30am to travel an hour and a half to a meeting for work and my co-worker who was driving was not about to stop NO MATTER WHAT, even though it was pitch black when the whiteout would ocassionally clear and we couldn't even tell where the highway was let alone which lane we were in. Didn't matter because we were the only idiots on the road besides the big semis that kept kicking up even more snow and blinding us further. I sympathize.
I miss the snow, muy mucho! We really never get any down here in bama. The year that I lived in Toledo, record breaking snowfall and NEVER once cancelled school. sigh.

Oy. Slick's comment made me laugh. Then I had to comment because it just dawned on me that you might think I'm "lurking" again.
See, what happens is that some comment boxes load more slowly than others, and I get impatient and abandon my comment before I've even started...I do this to alot of bloggers. It's becoming a bad habit.
My other bad habit is going on and on and leaving a really long comment.
Which do you prefer, so that I can customize my commenting style when I visit?
