...if you don't, I don't care, I'll pull down your underwear.
These are the pumpkins Josh, my brother, and I carved this year. Don't they just rock? Mine is on the left, Josh's is in the middle, and my brother's is on the right. I roasted the pumpkin seeds with some butter and season salt Sunday night (we carved the pumpkins Sunday afternoon) and Josh and I practically devoured them all that evening while watching television. We also did this pumpkin yesterday. Enjoy your tricks & treats—whether giving or receiving and have a safe and Happy Halloween!

We just did our pumpkins too (pictures soon!) amd I roasted the seeds too. It is one of my favorite parts about carving, I love to nibble on them!
Aww man...i love roasted pumpkin seeds. Got any left??
Josh' pumpkin is too cool...although you did an awesome job yourself!
WOW! They look great! :-)
Fantastic! I haven't carved our pumpkins yet since I was busy dieing the past couple of days. I've never figured out how to properly roast the seeds, whenever I've tried they tasted like crap.
Nice work! I miss roasting pumpkin seeds.
I'm going to have to buy canned pumpkin so I can make chocolate-chip pumpkin bread. My mom would always cook the pumpkin after Halloween had passed and then freeze it for baking with later...
Nobody—We rinse the seeds in a collander and then spread them out on a big cookie sheet. Then I drizzle them with butter and sprinkle with Lawry's seasoned salt. Bake at 350° for around an hour to an hour and a half—stirring & checking on them every 15 minutes. About half way through I drizzle a little more melted butter on them. Once the majority start getting brown keep an eye on them.
Thanks Pixie, I'll try that. Everything's better with Lawry's on it, so maybe that's the secret. I think I just toasted them plain last time, it's been a few years.
Nice pumpkins.
I made some seeds, too. Delicioso. I used olive oil and Mexican seasoning. Plus, I simmered them in saltwater first.
Sublime!
EWww! I don't want to smell your feet!
I love the pumpkins though! All 4 of them!
Very impressive pumpkin-art. I really like the one on the left. Did you do these without any guides?
(check the italics on my post carefully)
Egan—no guides, all freehand. Impressive huh?
That is one cute pumpkin!!!! Hope you had a great Halloween, Pixie!
Yes, you deserve an iPod sock for your efforts.
Holy crap, Pixie! Those are some awesome pumpkins - maybe next year you can teach me?
:)
