tgif...you ain't kidding

Holy crap am I glad this week is over. Or, at the very least that it's Friday—which officially kicks off my weekend. Work has been hectic this quarter and the worst so far was this week. It kicked off with having to have this huge merit review project in by Monday. I finished it up Sunday afternoon and turned in my 30+ page review Monday morning went I went to work. Here was the rest of the week:

Monday:
11 a.m. to 9:40 p.m Work
Get home at 10 and do 2 more hours of work for a training session the next day.
Go to bed at midnight, lay awake until 1 and get up with that damn alarm at 6 a.m.
Tuesday:
8 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Conduct business training session for 8 people on Adobe Illustrator
Go home at 1 p.m. and rest for an hour
4:00 to 9:40 Work
Wednesday:
11 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Work
2:15 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Business Meeting
3:30 to 9:40 p.m. Work
Thursday:
10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Conduct business training session for one on Adobe Illustrator
12:30 to 9:40 p.m. Work

Get home Thursday to find a letter from my insurance company saying that they are denying a claim for my ultrasound and early screen blood work because I didn't have a referral. Even though I specifically called to make sure it was covered by insurance before I went to the appointment. Started to deal with that today. Still not resolved but I refuse to back down on the subject.

So glad it's Friday.

That wee one is going to be very well-schooled in business training sessions.

I hate insurance companies. I used to work for one and now I know why people would yell at me so much. I used to think it was them sucking, but now I know it is the opposite.

Ugh! I hate HATE insurance companies. Did I mention I HATE insurance companies. I think we all should move to Canada so we can get good health care.

Did you ever get it all figured out and make them pay? Whenever I talk to nayone at my insurance company I get names and work numbers and note the time and reason for my call so that stuff like this can be dealt with.

I agree with Vegas Princess. I think insurance companies are evil. I hate them. Sorry to be so negative, but I have been through what you're talking about. Keep your foot on their throats, and tell us how it goes.

I've given up on the husband's insurance company, too. It's more sane and convenient to charge it, or go to a reduced-income clinic (when they'll let me).

No, thank you. I'll take my back rub long and slow and some decaf in bed on Sunday morning.

My husband's insurance denied everything I went to the doctor for for the first three years we were married, until I called them. It was a pain. I finally told him to take care of it.

At one point they had me in their computer as a 66 year old smoker. :-/

Stick it too them!

5 straight hours of sleep?? That's a ton. Don't get used to it. You won't have that in 5 months.
