growing up

I'm happy to say that as I transcend into adulthood, my life is falling into place how I had hoped:

Career woman
Married
Homeowner
Mother-to-be

In that order. Which is what I wanted. Life is good.

Hey, was your name once Pixie Shaffer and did you once live in Fredericton New Brunswick. You look like an old friend of mine. My name is Jacie Wiggs. You probably think I'm nuts, but wouldn't it be such a coincidence.

Jacie—Sorry, not me at all. My name isn't really Pixie and I've never lived anywhere but northwest Ohio. Thanks for popping in though—perhaps one day you'll find your friend.

You seem to get what you go for.

In retrospect, now, wasn't it a good idea to leave "crack whore" off the list?

Told ya.

Mr. Fab—You've always been wise beyond your years. Or wait...maybe it was you've always been a wise ass. Yeah, I think that was it.

I'm happy for you!

My "plan" went haywire, but then...is the choices you provide for yourself in a game of MASH really a "plan"? I'll admit my mom was right that "married by 17" was an unacceptable goal, even if it was just for a game; but I thought I'd be done with the whole marriage, career, kids by 27 thing.

Now, I just don't have a plan at all. I'm tired of my career- I started in jr. high, after all. I have no idea what I might like to do instead, and kids, well, if they happen, I'll take care of them right, but I'm still not getting the itch I think one must have in order to validate having them...

I am a mess.

But seeing people like you, who have their plans coming together, always makes me happy.

aaawwwwwww.

I don't have a plan. my vision of the future skips everything from tomorrow until I am the editor of Elle magazine and living in NYC. I'm going to be gutted when it doesn't happen

Awesome!

After my plan went south I decided to not have one at all. That way I can't be disappointed. It's working so far.

My plans fell to the wayside a long time ago. Actually, I think I lost them somewhere underneath all the clutter in my home.

I'm just flyin' by the seat of my pants, but so far so good. Could've ended up much worse.

LOL Jen, a game of MASH! Hehe :P

Congrats, Pixie! It's all coming together now, bwa ha ha... ;) I'm really happy everything is going well for you. I remember when you achieved homeowner status. That was exciting!

Congratulations. Your life plan sounds a lot like mine. But, I'm still only on step one.

That is a very nice blog. I haven't made it past step one. So you are very fortunate.

Plans have a way of coming unstuck when meeting life, but that doesn't mean life ends in disaster! As one happily married, parent and career person to another I salute you!

Isn't it great when a plan comes together? :-)

It's great when things work out according to plan...and sometimes it's just as great when they don't!

"I love when a plan comes together!"
One of my favorite qoutes from one of my favorite childhood t.v shows. Here is another qoute-"I pity the fool who don't meet their goals, ughhh!"
