see no evil, speak no evil...

See no evil: It saddens me to report that 3 of my favorite bloggers have left the building—err, the blogsphere. Chuck of What's up Chuck?, Julie—better known as the Queen of Pink, and Dan from the Daily Dump have all quit blogging. The Queen didn't even leave a good-bye post, she just up and deleted her blog completely. An email confirmed what I had feared. I won't try and convince them to come back, as George Harrison once said, "All things must pass, all things must pass away." I'd be lying though if I said they won't be missed. It's like the friends you make at summer camp that you never see again after that last craft session. Good luck to you all.

Speak no evil: All of you that have made the switch to Blogger Beta—I've tried and tried but I cannot comment on your sites at all right now. Dutchy, Mad Ethel, Blogarita, Nobody, and anyone else I may have missed—I'm still reading and I'm trying to comment, but all I get is the "We are unable to process your request at this time."

This one doesn't fit in the "Hear no evil" category, so I'm going to call it "WTF?": Amy, of amalah.com wrote a "hypothetical" post yesterday about a girl called Claudia. It seems that Claudia has a MySpace account and has been stealing Amy's entries, changing a few words and posting them as her own. Idiot. Now, Amy was kind enough to refrain from posting Claudia's link, but it seems that Claudia has also stolen a post about Wankyjohn McPeckerpull from Mr. Nice Guy—who in this case was not so nice and has posted Claudia's link. I can't actually see any of the entries—which apparantly include stolen, hotlinked images of a tire in Amy's foyer (why would anyone steal a picture of a tire?)—because you have to have a MySpace account and I'm not succombing to that. Regardless, that's some sad shit when an 18 year old girl has to steal writings from people around the blogsphere to make herself...I don't know look cool?, seem to have a life?, or whatever else her intentions might be. Sad.

not to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but the first part of this post sounds a lot like my post from yesterday. But, maybe that's just a coincidence Pixie.... or shall we call you Claudia!?!?!!!

MD—Sucky indeed

Tim—Did you not read my comment from yesterday? I was totally already planning on posting about it. You just beat me to the punch. I didn't see you talking about emailing the Queen, now did I?

It's kind of flattering in a creepy-mass-murdering-psycho-stalker kind of way

Pixie:
I will miss Dan. He may be going through a rough patch, but he's a class act so he's not complaining about it - whatever it is - and he'll rise from the ashes a superior and successfull writer. I just know it.

And about Claudia. I think she's stealing other people's stuff because she has no idea who she is and has to use someone else's imagination. Sad, so sad. Empty.

I'm glad you can comment on my site, Pixie. I'm not BETA but I know others have a hard time commenting on Eponym. I don't know how I found this blogging site, no one else I've ever seen uses it. I just happened upon it. SO far, so good.

Hey Pixie....I'll still be reading you when I can! Thanks for the mention...

What a bitch. Has anybody worked up a plan to fight back? Because somebody so obviously should.

I'm still trying to figure out how to best help Amy's situation. I think we should rally Popo and the other MySpacers and have them start a harassment campaign against Claudia. Such behaviour is just horrendous.

Did any of the newly vacated bloggers say "why"? I'm always curious as to why...one of the ones I read regularly bailed a few weeks ago. I just let her go.

If Mad Ethel and everybody who went beta will change their comments to allow bloggers, other and anonymous, we can all play together again. I figured out that's the only way I can comment Danielle. And I changed mine so she could comment me. I'm sure blogger will fix it sooner or later,as they've slowly been rectifying other issues, but I got the same error message you did until I decided to post as a non-blogger where possible.

There's been a lot of blogging theft at the moment, a number of prominent UK bloggers have been caught out. Sad that people try to live someone's live, but its been happening since the begining of time.

I took my anonymous blocker off, too, so if you click on Other and comment that way, it might work. It's working for some, anyway.

Someday, in a perfect world, Blogger will work for everyone. *sighs longingly*

I don't have blogger beta and you avoid my site like it has herpes.

Tooo beeezar! Actually, it's very sad.

My, God! How could they leave you in the lurch like that, Pixie? Don't they realize the impact that has on the rest of us?!!

Blogger's beta version totally screwed my site and now I have to publish to a different name. Thank God they didn't lose my posts--but as a result I don't think much of their beta launch, Pixie.

fuzzy—Sure.

VoF—I've never had a problem commenting on your site, although I do agree that your the only eponym account I've ever encountered.

Chuck—Credit where credit is due my friend.

Melissa—Not sure what the plan is, but lots of amalah visitors are pining for revenge.

Jen—Unfortunately she's made her profile private so only friends can view it. I thought the same thing about sending the MySpace users after her.

the boy—Very sad.

Blogarita—I'll try that. I got so frustrated after my long comment about your parking situation was gone I just said forget it.

TF—Not true. I visit & occasionally I comment. Just because you aren't in my blogroll doesn't mean I don't come around.

Mike—What is wrong with people?

Utenzi—I know, how dare they?

Sometimes into life a little rain must fall...... or however the crap that goes. Yep, I dumped. But I'm still around, reading all of MY faves, of which you are one. Thanks for the mention, you're a sweetheart.

Oh. I didn't realize private meant only friends could view it. I just thought it meant non-MySpacers were SOL.

I guess in her case "private" = "I know I'm doing something lousy and lowdown and I don't want to be bothered."

Most people can post comments on mine using the other thing.. I have to do that to post on the non-beta sites. Blogger sucks.

Some people need to get a life, I'm boring enough no one would steal mine.

I'm going to have to cut and paste from her site though because this is just too fucking hilarious. (I did use quotation marks, however. Let's give credit where credit is due!)

"Confidential to "Claudia:" There are no IKEAs in Las Vegas. Or even in the entire state of Nevada, dumbshit."

PRICELESS!!! HAHAHAHA! What a stupid broad. I got all excited and clicked on your link. Seems as though little miss Claudia has tucked her tail and run.

OH, and I changed my account so everyone, even spammers, can comment.
