the answers

A couple of weeks ago when I went on hiatus (okay it was on holiday but I didn't want any of the stalkers to know our house would be empty for a week) I asked you to ask me some questions. You did, now here—finally—are the answers.

You are taking a hiatus just when you are renting. Or is it because you are renting?

We had the trip to Arizona planned for a long time. Dutchy just happened to be renting around the same time. Stay with her if you can—she's pretty.

who is the foxy looking chick in the middle wearing green

That would be my Great Aunt—circa late 1940's, early 1950's

Hey hey hey! BECAUSE she is renting would be out of the question (so that's no question) as I am a pretty good host to my tenants.... This must have been planned before she decided to put a rent bid out...
My question: Can I have the Brownies recipe?

Brownie Recipe
1. Go to store
2. Buy brownie mix
3. Go home and make according to directions on box
4. Enjoy.

I have two questions.
What really happened up on the grassy knoll?

I think the gopher had something to do with it.

Do these pants make my ass look fat?

No, it's just your ass.

Mexican, Italian, or Chinese?

Mmmm...I'll assume we are talking about food here. I'd have to say Mexican although I do love all three. It's Mexican that we frequent the most.

Ok, how can I get a body like Angelina Jolie with out even working out?

You can't. She's not human.

Ummm...Can Dutchy get the brownies recipe?

See above.

Where is the party going to be for your blogiversary?

See previous post.

Who are these foxy ladies?

These foxy ladies are my Grandma (in the magenta with the polka dot jacket) and her sisters. It was taken many, many moons ago.

Are you going to do anything fancy for your blog on its special day? Perhaps take it to dinner, buy it a new fancy hat, or go to the opera?

Just ignore it apparantly. Although, a fancy hat may be in order.

I have no question except can I get that famous brownie recipe?

You'll have to get in line for that one.

What's this world coming to?

Unfortunately nothing good. The inhumanity in the world sickens me. Now excuse me while I go vomit.

Suri Cruise: Where the hell is she?

Here.

How are you going to celebrate your blogiversary?

Just by flying home from holiday.

What was the significance of the Rhine revolution in the scientific investigation of paranormal phenomena? (and hurry up with this one it's got to be handed in on Monday)

Umm...three?

If you found out that the world would end in one week, what is the one thing you would want to make sure you did?

Throw a huge get together with all my family and friends. Tell them all how much they mean to me and party down.

c. The Unabridged Scrabble Dictionary

2. a. Concert for George by Various Artists
b. Anthology: Through the Years by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
c. Pulse by Pink Floyd

3. a. A large Pitcher

My question: Would you rather have a million dollars you have to spend in one day. Or a dollar a day for a million days and why?

Hmmm...I think I'd go with the million in one day. Why? Because I'm pretty sure I could put a healthy dent into it. Pay off all my debt, buy fun things, etc. Plus, one million days equates to around 2739 years and I don't think I'll live that long.

OK, you forgot to tell us how your peonies were. The summer now in full heat, what's blooming in the garden?

The peonies didn't fare too well. They bloom into some beautiful white bomb style flowers but were fleeting. There is so much blooming in the garden right now: Sweet Peas, Snapdragons, Lamb's Ear, Hostas, Violas, Petunias, Various Ornamental Grasses, Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Red, Green, and Jalapeno Peppers, Begonias, and much more.

Both excellent choices, I would have to agree with you on those.

So you're saying mine weren't excellent questions?!

I've been looking all over for a brownie recipe. Thanks!

Nobody—Thanks. They are both classics and TMTCHG gets you lots of stories in one book.

Snagley—Such is life

Fuzzy—No, your questions were great. Especially the one about the Rhine. That one made me feel extra smart.

LBB—I'm here to serve.

I finally thought of one-

"Why can't I ever think of a good question and/or at the proper time?"

Bob said...

I must have read TMTCHG at least 10 times. Probably more. The HGG movie was a major disappointment.

Why haven't I heard of Shel Silverstein? I'm not sure why, but I've seen his name come up like three or four times in the last couple of days. Is Where the Sidewalk Ends fiction or non-fiction?

DutchBitch said...

Thing is... they sell the European style Brownie mixes over here... Yuck... But I'll get by without brownies if I reaaaaaly have to... thanks anyway!

Jen—too much pressure

mr. fab—It's alright, remember, Sir Mix-a-lot likes big butts and he cannot lie

VoF—Silverstein was an amazing children's writer. He wrote things like The Giving Tree and The Light in the Attic, among others. He actually started out as an adult cartoonist and has some adult books out there as well—Different Dances for example. Where the Sidewalk Ends is a collection of poetry. Check out this wiki on him.

Dutchbitch—Sorry I'm not a scratch baker. I do love to cook though. I didn't realize there were "European" and "American" style brownies. What's the difference?
