Yesterday the world lost a great musician.

June 6, 2006—at the young age of 59—Billy Preston died. Preston, often called the "Fifth Beatle" slipped into a coma in November and never came out. Yesterday, his condition worsened and he passed away. Billy, you made a difference in the music industry and you will not be forgotten. Thank you for all your contributions.

Actually I think he was more like the sixth Beatle. Sir George Martin, many claim, was the "real" fifth Beatle. But I like Billy better so in my eyes he is the fifth Beatle.

With the fits that Blogger was having, I didn't get a chance to thank you for mentioning this. I don't think I saw anyone else who mentioned it (myself included) on their site. Certainly deserving of much more recognition.
