Hooray! My glasses came in today. I hopped in the car and went to pick them up sporting Josh's prescription sunglasses (we have an almost identical prescription and I could wear them without any issues like they were my own). The lab sent the glasses over without putting in the lenses so I had to wait for the optician to do that. Then a minor adjustment and I was walking out the door with my new specs. Here's a picture of them. *Special prize to the one who can tell me whose blog I'm reading in the background there.
As promised, here is a picture of me in said glasses (well, my eyes at least). I didn't paint any of it in, just desaturated everything but my eyes and the glasses. Don't the look super blue. That's all real baby. All real.
Best of all, I can see again.

I love those glasses. I wish I had vision that necessitated the need for such adorable frames and lenses. :)
I just tried to click on almost all of your links to try to figure out whos blog that is. I gave up with about 4 left.
Nifty specs and pretty eyes!
lisa—just get some with sunglass lenses or something.
tim—way to give it that "old college try".
blogarita—everytime I see a comment from you I get thirsty and start singing Jimmy Buffett. odd...
I was going to say you were reading *my* blog.
But the links are on the wrong side.
And then I blew it up. And I don't know.
Great specs!
The glasses look great! You really do have incredibly bluey blue eyes!
I have no idea whos blog that is, you should have put up a bigger pic!
Pixie:
I LOVE the glasses. Your eyes are so blue, or did you Photoshop them?
It's Brando's blog, right?
V of F
i would be offended if it is not mine.
nice glasses, i think you could use some visene though,
Hey, we can see better, too! How'd you do that?
You look great! And I'm glad you can see yourself looking great now! :)
okay, so you need to take a picture of you, your glasses and each one of our blogs or we're gonna feel left out.
My eyes are that blue...and yes, they're mine...both of those blue contacts are mine...I paid for them myself.
You look like you smile all the way up into your eyes....I love that. That's a true smile.
later kid...
Hope you give us the answer to your little quizzie.
The Pup.
Lynda—nope not you. Nice to know you don't immediately recognize your own blog.
jen—thanks
melissa—all you had to do was click on it for a bigger version
VofF—nope, those are really mine. You are absolutely correct about it being Brando's (which TIM: oddly you can access your blog through only 2 clicks when you start at Brando's [one child left behind]. Like this: Click Daily Dump then Chloraphil...
snagley—what are you trying to say?
mike—oh, oh, oh it's magic...you know...
kris—thank you kindly
pup—see above for quiz answer. I totally smile up to my eyes. Sometimes so big my eyes turn into little slits. The lady at the BMV (DMV?) once told me not to cheese so much and I told her that's how I wanted to look. I'm a big smiler.
Blue-Tastic!
When you were describing them I wasn't picturing them to look that cool. I reeaaaly like them. They're very contemporary and sci-fi - like the Matrix or Gattica or something.
That is what happens when you have control of 8 of them.
In a fit of sychonicity my glasses snapped yesterday. I am know wearing an old pair and lord do I have a head ache!
A lovely blue, exactly as eyes should be.
sigh, i can't see the pictures - DAMN work filters...
I just got new glasses, too! I lost mine in Knoxville... I've hated having to wear my contacts every day since then. My eyes are really blue, too - from my grandpa - and people are constantly asking if they are colored contacts. I love telling them no!
very nice!! I love the look of them.
