This is how it works: Comment on this entry and if you'd like to play, I will give you a letter. Write ten words beginning with that letter in your blog, including an explanation of why you chose it, and then pass out letters to those who want to play along.
- fabulous—I find myself saying this (or rather, typing) word more and more these days. Not sure why.
- film—In college I studied Photography. Traditional film is still one of my favorite ways to shot, although the ease of digital has wooed me on more than one occasion. If I could just get my hands on that Digital Canon Rebel I’ve been eyeing, I could have the best of both formats, plus the capability to share lenses between cameras (since I shoot with a Canon Rebel).
- foodie—I’m a total foodie. I love to eat, I love to cook, I have a pure unadulterated passion for all things delicious. If you ever have the pleasure of dining with me, you will surely be subjected to sounds of ecstasy as I savor each bite.
- fruit—I love fruit. Almost any kind of fruit. Berries, melons, citrus, whatever. When I was a young girl—maybe 7—I got in trouble at my Grandma’s sister’s house for eating too much fruit. If that’s not asinine, I don’t know what is.
- foot—In general I’m not a fan of feet, but I do like mine. I have a really high arch that I think is cool. In college, one of my art school peers asked me to walk around the back stairwell with my feet dipped in red paint for an installation piece. Much of her class commented on how high my arches were—I’ve loved them ever since.
- fortune—At least 15 years ago I put a coin in one of those old Fortune Teller machines at Cedar Point, like the one in the movie Big. It gave me my fortune & said my lucky number was 7. It still is.
- funny—Although it may not be apparent in my blog, I at times can be incredibly funny. It’s a drier sense of humor, that thankfully a lot of my students enjoy (or at least get). It really doesn’t matter to me if they think I’m funny or not—like my Mom always said, “As long a you think you’re funny, that’s all that matters.” Well said Mom, well said.
- folio—A piece of paper or parchment. I took a class in college called The Art and Process of the book. It was an incredible class and from it I gained a greater appreciation for the printed page. I teach my students how to make books and do Japanese bindings, as well as make books of my own.
- female—Well this is an obvious one. I really enjoying being a woman, despite all the awkward things we have to go through. Being a woman is really empowering & I wouldn’t want it any other way. Although it would be interesting to see what it’s like to have a penis for a day.
- fire—My element. Not only as a Leo in Western Astrology, but also from being born in the year of the Dragon in Chinese Astrology. Double Whammy. Hot.

Nice use of the letter F! Though you missed some of the more obvious ones! Just to let you know--you got F because I was running out of letters! Gotta catch me earlier if you want the good letters!
I tried to stay away from obvious things that first came to mind. I dug a bit below the surface to find better words. F was certainly better than X!
Which one of grandma's sisters yelled at you about fruit? They both actually seem like they would.
It was Aunt Wilma—remember, Gam's one of nine (I think)
Aunt Wilma yelled at you for eating too much fruit?? Why would she do that?? I always associate grandma with fruit, but that's because she would pick the seeds out of the watermellon for me, and I could never convince my mom to do that. She said it was a grandma thing and that she'd do it for her kids, but not for me!! (I'm still obviously traumatized by it!!)
~bck
PS that's so funny that Alex thinks Grandma only has 2 sisters.
Brooke—I really don't know why she would do that. Sadly, I do remember it well. It was a long, long time ago when we were visiting in California. Apparantly, I had one too many apricots for her liking. Such is life. With regards to Alex, I'm sure he knows Gam has more than 2 sisters, but Boots and June are the only ones in town anymore (which is probably what he was thinking).
Oh, oh, can I have a letter?? If you give me one, I promise I'll post my list eventually thought it may not be today... :D
LOL eating too much fruit, what a holy terror you were! I got in trouble for a lot of retarded things like that, too. Good F choices!
I'll play. MAybe.
Blackbyrd—Your letter is "R"
Tim—If you choose to play your letter is "P"
Fascinating.
I'm still thinking about if I'm playing or not. My brain doesn't feel that creative today.
Hmm, OK, give us a letter then. Lets see if we can get this game picked up on the other side of the world...
the boy—your letter is "D".
Oh, I would love to play, and by the way, you have been tagged.
I wanna play, I wanna play!
mister merkin—I'll get to the tag a bit later, but for now, your letter is "K"
sarah—your letter is "M"
Yes, I do know grandma has more sisters, I just figured that it was this one or this one
Nope, it was this one.
Your grandma has sisters name boots and calendar?
I will try the game. (Please don't give me too hard of a letter! ::begging::)
Actually, the other sisters name is 'June 2003'
Lynda—Boots, yes; Calendar, no; June, yes. Your letter—"T"
Lynda—that's a T if it's hard to tell in the quotes. Kinda looks like an I to me.
I can handle T.
OK, I am bored. I would like a letter, now, please.
Jen—how about...G.
Thank you! I'll get started on it. I know you're busy! I didn't expect it so soon!
