10 questions

Questions were asked...here are the answers.

BO Snagley asked... Have you ever skipped rocks in a creek?
Why yes, I’ve skipped many a rock in my day. You don’t have to be from the South to know how to get a rock to skip multiple times across the water. My Dad is an avid hunter and as a child we would spend time near bodies of water that begged to have rocks skipped across their surface. More recently, Josh and I lived on the river for several years before we bought our house and we would walk our nephew down to the river’s edge and skip rocks there.

Lisa asked... Who put the bomp in the bomp-shoo-bomp-shoo-bop; also, who put the ram in the ram-a-lam-a-ding-dong?
What? Do you think I’m 90? Or clever?

Tim asked... You're an art professor, right? Who's your favorite artist?
Technically, I’m a design instructor. My favorite artist? That’s a tough one. It really depends on the medium. Photography: Richard Avedon, Cindy Sherman, or Joel-Peter Witkin. Traditional mediums like painting: Salvador Dalí & René Magritte. Designers: Alexey Brodovich and Alphonse Mucha.

blakbyrd797 asked... On your blogroll, does *fresh and clean* mean there's a new post you have NOT read, or that you're all caught up and HAVE read everything? Why is my "last updated" thingy so far behind all the time? Every time I visit your blog, I check my link (hehe yeah I'm a bit narcassitic... only a bit! ;)) and it always says "last updated some-date-like-four-days-ago," when, in fact, I've updated once or even twice since then. What's up with that? Huh??
*fresh & clean* means there’s a new post from the last 12 hours. Unfortunately, Blogrolling seems to be really sucky right now and is not showing updates properly.

NobodyYouKnow asked.. Why does Blogrolling have to suck?
Apparently, anything with the word “blog” in the URL has to suck every so often. Even the Oxford American Dictionary widget definition of blog sucks. See?

Sarah asked... What is your fave thing to do on a Friday night?
Go out for Mexican food and margaritas, then unwind from the week by watching a movie or just hanging out with Josh.

What is your preferred method of making art? (painting, drawing etc)
Another hard question. I’d say probably Photography and Digital based art. Although, I’ve always wanted to do sculpture and learn how to blow glass.

Who are your favourite students? Shy and studious, or late and funny?!
Talented, hard working, and dedicated. The ones who take constructive criticism seriously without freaking out about it. A sense of humor goes a long way too. My biggest pet-peeve with students is tardiness, so showing up on time helps.

Queen Of Pink asked... If you had to choose any career other than your own, what would you choose? Assuming that you wouldn't have to do a thing to get the job, it would automatically be yours.
I would just be an artist and not teach. Create, exhibit and sell. Have a little shop of my own to sell my wares. That would be awesome. If it couldn’t be art/design related, I’d say something in horticulture. I love plants & flowers and always thought that would be awesome to study/work with.

Anything else?
