Jellicle Good Time

This is where I was last night—main floor, row bb, seat 114. It was incredible. My Mom found herself in possession of 2 FREE tickets to the show and asked me to go. I hadn't been to a show in quite some time and thought, "Why not, it's free?" Yowser am I glad I went. I knew nothing about CATS before I went (except that it was about cats and based off a book of poems, it's been on Broadway for a long time, and it was composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber. It was phenomenal. The music rocked out and the stage effects were fun. The cast was amazing...they really had feline qualities in the way they moved. The choreography and acrobatics were great and I loved the way the actors move about the theatre and not just on the stage.

If you like musicals and cats, this one to see.

How cool, Holly! :D I've never seen Cats live, but they've shown it on PBS and I have the sheet music for the piano, too. I'd love to see it... and just about any other broadway musicals.

Have you seen any others? I saw Phantom with the original cast years ago, then again recently. Saw Joseph twice, with Donny Osmond both times, and Jesus Christ Superstar once. They were all great, although Phantom was a little dissapointing the second time probably because I had such high expectations after my first experience. The movie version that was just released was actually almost as good as seeing it on stage the second time...

It was really great, Danielle. Over the years I've also seen Les Miserables, Jesus Christ Superstar (probably my fave, since we had seats in the 3rd row), Showboat, Grease, and Peter Pan when I was a little girl. If I recall correctly, Sandy Duncan was Peter at the time.

I saw it with a friend when I was like, 12. Her parents took her and a few friends for her birthday. I have wanted to see it again ever since.
