I got this in an email from my SIL today. It's cheesy and a groaner, but it made me laugh. Hope it does the same for you.
A frog by the name of Kermit Jager walks into a bank. He wants a $30,000 loan. Waits in line, steps up to the teller and the name plate reads Patty Whack. Kermit, the frog, proceeds to tell Patty, the bankteller, that he would like a $30,000 loan. She looks at him sort of funny, so he introduces himself, and tells her the manager is a friend of his who knows his family, so it shouldn't be a problem. Patty replies that he will need some sort of collateral. "Fine," says Kermit, "this should work" and hands her a ceramic pink elephant.
Patty slips to the manager's office, explains that there is a frog named Kermit Jager who is requesting a loan and offered the pink elephant as collateral. "What should I do?", asks Patty. To which her manager replies, "That's a knick-knack, Patty Whack. Give the frog a loan. His old man's a rolling stone."
Ba-da-da!!
hehe...

Oh I love that joke. My cousin used to tell it only in his version the frog wanted a loan so he could purchase a speedboat, Patty's last name was Black, the frog didn't have a name, the elephant was just "this thing- I don't know what it is." and the rolling stone part didn't exist.
I like your version just as much! It's great! Funny how jokes change when they go around- like that game of telephone!
