Tulip. Parrot tulip to be more specific. It's just a small portion of a photo I shot a couple of years ago.

Interesting. I goodled them- hadn't seen one before. I still think it looks like a closeup of a sideways gladiolus, though.
They have an interesting ruffled leaf texture. The image is of s pretty well opened flower. I'll post the whole pic so you can see it.
