tell me

I'm going to be designing some t-shirts this summer.
So tell me—what do you want to see on them?

I want tacky slogans!! I collect t-shirts with tacky slogans (such as "we choke our own chickens" from a wing house in St Louis and "I heart booty" from the church of the flying spaghetti monster http://www.venganza.org/)

I like slogans too, all I want in the world is a 'vote for pedro' tshirt! I think if you want a slogan you could look to peoples blogs maybe an 'i heart starburst porn' t-shirt

Otherwise I like lots of colour, maybe swirls and stars going diagonally across the tshirt. I like stripes as well, and old wallpaper patterns.

I put in a special request for this sweatshirt

oh, Alex, that's hilarious. I'll make matching ones for you, Josh, and I.

Is this for yourself or something else?

I want t-shirts that promote lung cancer awareness, but that is my focus right now. (or forever)

Lynda—is there some sort of catchy slogan that could relate to the awareness?

Um...those typeface characters from a few years ago could be huge sellers with Designers!

Nice Ryan. I didn't even think of those. I still want to do some new work. Slogans would be great, but I'm no copy writer. Although I love Sarah's "I heart starburst® porn" idea. I wonder if Tim would go for it.

I don't know of any catchy slogan, but I might be able to think of something.

The ribbon is clear because it is the silent killer. Mostly this is because doctors don't think to check young people and/or non-smokers for the disease.

How about a t-shirt that says "What's Up?" Then a picture of me after the phrase...I'm sure it would sell like hotcakes! lol

I could make special shirts for all the bloggers. Sell them in the blogsphere perhaps? If I sent you a shirt would you wear it?

you could have a catchphrase or something from us all and then the web address on the back. I wouldn't wear my own because i'd be embarrassed but we could always wear each others!

Holly {ArtistMotherTeacher} said...

That's exactly what I was thinking Sarah. If not on the back up be the nape of the neck, then small and inconspicuous on the hem of the shirt in front.

yeah, i'd like that! now get your groove on, I want to see some designs!! lol

have you got an idea of the different slogans yet?

Holly {ArtistMotherTeacher} said...

I'm not really sure—that's why I asked all of you. There are so many avenues to pursue.

I saw a shirt on an employee at the Apple store that said "blah...blah...blog". I love that.

I know that coz we're bloggers we're not supposed to like it but I liked the tshirt that said 'noone cares about your blog' lol.

I like 'I heart starburst porn' and chucks 'what's up' with chucks pic. erm rits cud be a ladies tshirt that just says 'titties!' tinapopo/bj 'hobohookers anonomous' or 'been there, done that, blew a hobo'. umm, otherwise the names of everyone's blogs are cool. everyone would want a tshirt with fuzzy muffin with a twist on it!!

Sarah, you rock! Look at all the ideas just spewing out of you.

i'm sorry, I just get really excited about creative endeavors!

Holly {ArtistMotherTeacher} said...

No, no, don't be sorry! I love it!

The only thing I can think of for lung cancer awareness is lunging to breath. Get it? lol.

I like Sarah's ideas.

I always loved my saying on my blog...

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO what a ride!'"

So maybe a woman on the front with a chocolate bar in one hand and martini in the other looking haggard and on the back say "WOO HOO what a ride!"

I'm not feeling very creative today so that's all I got!
